Some of the V&V's give/reduce health. How does this affect the combat stats? I thought it was a straight kill-no kill senario. Do your units have things like hit points now?

Well, I noticed back in STW that the general was always harder to kill than a normal soldier. Did a test where I had two No-Dachis charge each other. Only the two generals stood in the fist line after that on several occations. Never did they die on impact.

So I guess this is just an expanded version of the "health" generals have.
But I would be nice to get it explained.

It could be something about how long he'll live as a ruler? Maybe it helps him survive assasination attempts?

It's like the uncles of a king - they age normally until they become uncles and then they become immortal !
Nope - no sig what so ever.

He is totally loyal. He is also a great leader. Unfortunately his is as thick as two short planks with an acumen of -2 (I know you cannot go below 0, but that's what it would be if you could)

Oh and his piety is 1 only, but his dread is 9!

Yes I have 3 lords Plantagenet (english for daddys brother I guess). They are all really good generals, apart from a bit of inbreeding.

I almost cried when, in my new game as the egyptians, my best starting general developed the vice "mad as a loon". He's still my best general since my new king is absolutely worthless and his sons are even worse.
