Problems with battle movie editor

Ive got the battle movie editor up and running, no problems there. however i cant seem to get the keys to work correctly as specified in the instructions.

I can move the camera around and do most stuff, BUT i cant insert key frames. Has anybody else experienced this? If I press 'end' then I get the cut keyframe, but I cant do a regular keyframe. Ive tried toggleing the num-lock and various other things but still nothing. Are there different keys that work?

Ive got the latest patch. 1.5. I think.

Any help would be great.

that might not actually help unfortunately, I'm not sure about the key frames issue but I know it lost the ability to render video in 1.5.

Have you tried that element or got a way around it, before you get too far in trying to figure the rest of things out....

Also did you find the (rather limited) documents that CA issued about the editors? If not I'll see if I can try and find link again.

Yeah, Ive got the documentation. Still no joy with it Im afraid. I can do everything else as per the documentation EXCEPT set keyframes.

ive even checked that my keyboard is installed properly so it recognises the 'insert' key.

The only other thing I can think of is to roll back to the previous patch version, unless anybody else has an idea?
