    Default Hayasdan questions

I've noticed in my Hayasdan campaign that I can't build a MIC above level 1 in Ekbatana. I have a level 3 govt. and the full Pan-Caucasus (P-C) reforms in place (not sure the latter matters). I've tried to interpret the building guide in the documentation folder, and if I read it right a factional MIC-3 is the prereq for the "Conqueror comes..." building. Yet I can already build "Conqueror comes..." (if I was foolish - no point taking those penalties until I have Susa and Persepolis to get the ball rolling). Am I misreading the guide, and "Conqueror comes..." is required to unlock MICs beyond the first level? Or is my game screwed up in some way?

I have edited the EBBS, first as per Foot's code to (try to) prevent the bug spamming endless Homeland/Expansion markers in the P-C cities. Since Foot's code merely slowed the spamming, since then I commented out the lines which add those markers (I have seven of each already, no need for more!). I can't see how this would affect Ekbatana's MICs, but I also can't see how the original EBBS code allowed the marker spamming in the first place...

Other issues I've noticed, in case a Hayasdan expert reads this:

In my AS campaign, my spy noticed that Armavir has the level 1 govt. yet the province does not have roads (one of the prereqs for the first stage P-C reform). Does the AI just get a pass on that, or something?

I also noticed that the unit card for the Srakir Martikner (the Armenian Hastati-equivalents) claims they have 100 men on Large (200 on Huge); in fact they have 160 men on Huge in the game. Are they supposed to have 200? That would rock!

    Hi,

(first of all -please dont take offence but your post was mildly difficult to understand you might want to consider reading through and editing it slightly and then reposting.)

from what i understand you have read the guide? if not here is a link:

    https://www.europabarbarorum.com/web...an-Reforms.pdf

it does sound like you game possibly is "screwed" a bit.

do you know the cheat codes? it is a good method of checking what you can build. presss the key to the left of 1 on your keyboard. to add money type eg: add_money 10000 (you can add up to 40k in one go). to complete a building for a province type eg: process_cq Ebaktana. by combining the both you can quickly check your build options for that city.

the "conquerer comes.." should not effect which MIC's you can build, going through the reform process will just effect which government type you can build (which in turn can effect which level of MIC's you can build!)

firstly which MIC are you referring to? the "local" or your factional?

by MIC you do refer to the "barracks" type building, right?

(I am sorry if I seem horribly condescending, it just your described problem seems a little unsual)

with a level 3 govt. building your should be able to build higher than a level 1 MIC both for local and regional options.

Yeah, you should be able to have level 2 factional and level 4 regional. What is causing this I really can't imagine, there is no script I know of that could be interfering. Not to sound condensending myself, but have you checked that it is not "hidden" i.e. maybe you have to scroll down to see it?

Foot would know about this better (he is the one who designed and implemented all the Hayasdan MIC & Reform works), but AFAIK the Hayasdan have somewhat more severe MIC restrictions than other factions.

    1. AI starts with level I government. it doesnt need to go trough conditions human player required to go.

    2. it is wierd. there should be 200 men a unit.

A type 3 for Hayasdan only allows the first level of the factional mic to be built. You have to follow the groupings for the Orontid reform. First Susa and Persis have to be reformed. You build a type III gov and "The Conquerer Comes..." building. This spawns a type II in the settlement. Then you need to build your factional MIC to level 3 then you can the final part of "The Conquerer Comes..." building.

Hmm, quite complex then. I can well see why the AI is just given them...

Ah, thank you! I had misunderstood and thought the type II came after the second "Conqueror..." building, not in between the two. Very good, I can see why Hayasdan is listed as one of the more challenging campaigns!

Actually the difficulty of understanding the reforms is not considered in that difficulty level. A zealous Arche Seleukeia bound to destroy you is the main reason why it is considered very difficult indeed.
