Many image editors will provide you with an x/y location for your cursor, this is how I do it. show_cursorstat is a good alternative.
Remember that the y coordinate is the wrong way around compared to the way images are measured![]()
Instead of get 'trial'ed with photoshop and run into probs after the trial days, better download free, opensource progs, like GIMP:
It has as much functions as photoshop and there is no hook or advertising cramp on it like on most 'shareware' progs:

Also there is a free .dds plugin for GIMP (useful if you want to step into skinning own units).
