Wouldn't it be great if you could strike a deal with your allies to have them let your troops pass through their territories in order to fight another faction?

i.e. I am England and rather fancy taking Scandinavia and its iron. This would be much easier if my French allies let me pass through Northern Europe (i.e. saves having to build ships)

Obviously any such arrangement would be dependent on the French not having their own Nordic objectives etc...

I agree this would be useful. Once I was allied with the Hungarians and the French decided to lay siege to my capitol of Constantinople - I had to march two armies all the way back around the Black Sea because they couldn't pass through the one Hungarian province that separated them from the city (I couldn't use ships to get them back, the French were blockading my harbor).
