merc recruitment

i was just wondering- how is the merc recruitment figured out- is there a set number of mercs in each province for a year, and its replenished every year?
i just need to know b/c i just ran out of mercs to hire in all my provinces......

Provinces or groups of provinces (as they are in EB now) have several different mercenaries available to all factions. When you recruit these men, they have to replenish. Each unit has a different replenish rate and generally, the crappier unit will replenish fast and the elites will take a long time. Give it about two years and most should be back.

I used to rely heavily on Mercenaries but in all my new games I only recruit them during emergencies. I have much fun trying to train and make a very experienced core army.
