Sorry might be a stupid question but I just bought the game have won a few battles as the Welsh but what does it mean in the instruction where it says every battle I win will secure the throne as my King?

It probably just means that you won more battles which means enemy will have less stuff to throw at you, threatening your throne.

Well there's the welsh uprising that has to do with Welsh military prowess but its' bugged ATM and will not happen, so yah :(
