Thread: Triumphs (spoilers?)

    Default Triumphs (spoilers?)

Quick question, when you get the "Imperator" trait, it says you need to conquer the territory of the enemy to be awarded a triumph. Does this mean this general has to conquer all the territory of the enemy or just a region or two? TIA!

AFAIK (so I could be wrong here), you have to get him to conquer all of his enemy's settlements.

I've got a general in Spain at the moment who's been named Imperator after slaughtering lots of Lusotannans. At the same time he gained the Vanquisher trait, but already has the Vanquisher of the Carthaginians. Hopefully he'll just have to defeat the Lusotannans (only 2 more settlements to take) and not the Carthaginians as well (he's in his 50's). I'm also hoping he'll become Popularis and become a consul once he's had his Triumphus as those are the last requirements he needs to enact the Marian Reforms.
I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.

Ugh. Kinda afraid of that. Lusotann has most of Spain, they apparently kicked out the Carthies somehow. My general just won a heroic victory against them and was named imperator, so I guess there's about 6 or so regions to take. This boy's gonna be busy. They all have to be taken by the imperator? Anybody know for sure?

I'm sure thats not required, all thats neede is take maybe one ior two provs, and then win a large heroic victory.

Try searching, ther's a ton of threads around here expaing in the details.Though the pre1.0 threads won't be valid anymore.

I had a Triumphator in the last version who did not conquer more than a couple of regions.

I think the main thing was winning heroic victories and slaughtering large numbers of the foul smelling barbarians.

He was proclaimed Imperator after a successful city defense against long odds (I believe)

I am assuming it is the same in 1.0

yeah. it literally means "all terriroy" but it is kind of random. I mean, your general has to wipe out huge # of enemies and their settlements

That's pretty much it, just keep warring until you get the trait. Generally the bigger and tougher the battles you fight are, and the greater the cities you take the more likely you are to succeed (So for example storming a heavily garrisoned Kart-Hadast with a small force is going to get you way more kudos than using your full stack on a couple of enemy levies somewhere).
