Default crash while starting a campaign

i recently downloaded eb.1 after playing .81 fine and it starts up fine although the main screen and any other i go on is covered in flashing imagery which i can only describe as some sort of path work and in the bottom left theres some unreadable white script on a pink back ground, and when i try to start the main campaign after selecting everything and click start it just crashes.

but other than than it seems a great improvement on 0.81(skins and everything)

so i was wondering if anyone could help

I think adding -nm to your shortcut will help the flashing thing. Take a look at the checklist in the EB installation validation thread, paste it here and say what you've done of it.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

I had a similar CTD when starting a Casse campaign, but it only happened once.
