IIRC they haven't ben added to the edb yet. Presumably they will be for 1.1, or do it yourself. Non save compatible, btw.
They should have an entry in the DMB and ownership in the EDU, so it is only a matter of adding their recruitment to the EDB, which is save game compatible.
And yes, they should be in for Epeiros in 1.1

Culturally Epeiros is the same as Makedonia. Northern Greeks both, who stood guard while the rest of Greece was having a golden era, civil war etc.
One of the reason Phillip sought out the hand of Olympias, was to insure that at least one flank of his would be secure. Fighting the southerners, on the one Paionians and Getai in the other, he needed one flank secure and possibly some reinforcements should things go wrong.
In return, once he got powerful enough, he sent Alexandros of Epeiros (his wife's brother) troops with which he united all of the renegade tribes. This process continued under Pyrrhos, who is the first "King of Epeiros" whereas all prior to him were the King of the Molossoi, and leaders of the Epeiros alliance.
Epeiros at the time is probably the most neglected of native hellenic states. While under the same pressure as Makedonia, Epeiros didn't have its moment of glory (directly that is) as people tend to forget that Alexandros was half epeirote. (mom's side). Southrons would play their petty games, calling them barbarian one time, then go beg for an alliance to improve their standing and call them Leaders of the Greeks.
Can anyone post a noob-proof guide on how to add Hypaspistai and Pheraspides to Epeiros?
I'd really like to use these guys, to help out my Chaonion Agema.

How often do I say this?
Just check the scriptorium.
Did I annoy you, haha? Let's try some more.
*ehm*
GALATIANS!
I don't think there is a such thing as a noob-proof guide to editing EB recruitment. It confuses me from time to time and I've been playing around with it for two years.
Politically Epirus seems to have been a bit more democratic and developed than Makedonia. The Assembly in Epirus had the right to elect the king and the Mollossian Federation/Epirus actually existed as a nation, whereas we have no evidence that Makedonia did.
Fundamentally though the kingdoms are cut from the same cloth.

So why does Epiros share with KH instead of Baktria?
Cause of the democratic assembly?
keravnos 23:55 12-04-2007
Baktria is eastern greek.
Epeiros is western greek.

That certainly isn't the answer, Maks are west greek as well and they share with baktria.
Foot

In that case, I just don't know.

Whoops, I meant why does Epiors share with KH, not maks.
Epeiros also have Thorakitai according to the EB-Page and their custom battle roster, but they can't recruit them in a campaign.
Ok, if somebody would be so kind as to upload an original unmodifyed EB 1.0 EDB here (all my versions are perverted beyond recognition by minor tweaks to almost half of factions) during the night I would be able to upload a Pre 1.1 EDB version that would only:
1. add Pheraspidae/Hypaspystae (from Makedon AOR) and Torakitai (from KH AOR) to Epeiros:
2. close Ptolemaioi recruitment gaps in Ethiopia and Aravia with native units (ethiopan and aravian respectively) that should have been there for them but did no made it for 1.0
No other tweaks will be applyed.

Will it be savegame compatible?
I'd love to hit back with Thorakitai instead of Thureophoroi in my Epeirote Campaign
Thanx, Pharnakes

Yes, absolutely
Yay!
Savegame compatible meaning: not going to ruin your saves or meaning: the changes will apply to your saves?
changes will apply to your saves and not ruin them
