Unhappy CTD: Ptolemaioi Spring/Summer 229 BCE

First off I'd just like to say what an AMAZING expansion this is... I've been lurking on these boards while playing for about a month now, solved any issues that've come up by perusing the forums here, but now unfortunately I have a CTD that I can't seem to solve :p

I did ALL the things mentioned in the 'how to post a CTD thread' sticky... applied all the permanent fixes, and the temp ones, also tried canceling all construction/recruitment, as well as trying to get through a turn without having the background script activated; all to no avail.

I am playing version 1.0, installed on a CLEAN install of RTW, no minimods.

The problem started in the Spring 229 BCE turn; strangely enough, just like the CTD post below this one, on commencement of this turn I just had a town (Augila) revolt against their Qarthadastim conquerors in my favour, as I had owned the province since pretty much the beginning of the game.

(Side note that I must add here, for pride's sake :p The reason why my western province was taken is because I finally let it fall after YEARS of stalemate between myself and Qarthadast. They kept sending army after army after my borders, but I had a full stack army with a great general keeping watch over the area. Over the years, his entire stack became gold chevron in experience, and I finally got fed up, especially because the guy's getting pretty aged now: he abandoned the city, hopped on a fleet, and while Qarthadast was happy taking over my tiny desert outpost, I unloaded within sight of the walls of mighty Carthage itself, took it in 1 turn since I had a spy infiltrate it, and I razed the place to the ground, gaining myself a sweet 100K Mnai or so between the actual extermination of the populace and destroying all the buildings I could :p )

Side note over... sorry about that! It was probably my proudest moment in this game (so far!)

Anyway, as I said above, the turn starts with Augila coming back under my sway. I go about my business as usual, hit end turn, and I then get the weirdest CTD ever. See, it doesn't happen during anyone else's turns... the game goes through the whole cycle, including the Eleutheroi, then my turn comes up, and the dropping-down Beginning of Turn notification boxes start dropping, and then, 'pop'; CTD.

I tried fixing this CTD, and during the process I found that the game actually Autosaved the beginning of my next turn; Summer 229 BCE! I was initially elated, thinking that it had just been some weird, temporary glitch, so I load this autosave and again go about the summer turn, business as usual. I end the turn, but this time, no such luck; I get CTD just before my turn starts (it's either happening during the Eleutheroi turn, or at what is supposed to be the beginning of my turn). This time, the autosave doesn't catch the beginning of my next turn. :(

Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, here are BOTH save games associated with this CTD:

    Summer 229 BCE: http://www.axifile.com/?5197385

Sure hope you guys can help me out! I gotta get back in there and fight off the Seleukids!

This sounds like a unique problem, thank you very much for reporting it (well detailed ). Unfortunately it could take a long while before we find out what is causing it and fix it, so you should probably try to start a new campaign or backtrack to an older save in the hope that the same problem doesn't happen again.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

Thanks for the reply! I actually have started a new campaign in the meantime... as the Casse ;) I really do hope to get back to my Ptolemaioi campaign some time though!
