That's a good idea. Last I recall the BC mod leader said he's going to stick with vanilla. I did a quick test to see if I could do the Turkish commands, and I can, I guess. IIRC the BC team want the mod to be in English or the default installation language. They want the mod to be as friendly to all, without 'foreign' languages and names, avoided as far as possible.
Jerusalem is Kudüs in Turkish, according to wiki.

Constantinople was called Istanbul much before the capture of the city by Mehmed The Conqueror.
The modern Turkish name İstanbul (IPA: [istambul] or colloquial [ɨstanbul]) is attested (in a range of different variants)
since the 10th century, at first in Armenian and Arabic and then in Turkish sources;
it has been the common name for the city in normal speech in Turkish even since before the conquest of 1453. It derives from the Greek phrase "εις την Πόλιν" or "στην Πόλη" [(i)
stimboli(n)], both meaning "in the city" or "to the city".
That's not the point though, the point is to name the settlements you have the way you want to name them. Does'nt matter what you name them but if you want a purist Turkish empire naturally you'll name them in Turkish and that would mean naming Constantinople, Istanbul. I have an old screenshot here shows Istanbul & Iznik:

An earlier screenshot from the same campaign (IIRC), note the capital. It has a Turkish name and also tells me what I supposed to be producing there. The name in this campaign is symbolic, Malazgirt.
This is where the Byzantines lost a major battle. Normally in a Turkish campaign I shift the capital to Antakya (Antioch):
