I just Wiki-ed "Istanbul" and it turns out there's a list of names by which it was known... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Names_of_Istanbul

I like Istanbul or Deraliye best (Deraliye refers to The Sublime Porte). Reminds me of my "lost" Sipahi of the Porte. :(

Somebody's GOT to mod Sipahi of the Porte IN. Can't believe there is no mod that has done that yet. BC has elite cavalry with bows, sword & lance though, quite a few IIRC.

Just watched this Call of Duty 4 video, it's ok quality in full screen mode, Turkish Rap: IstanBOOM ! (<-Link)
EDIT: Forgot to post the link.

It will always be a Carigrad for me, no matter how the current owner decides to call it

Thanks guys, now that I'm picking up steam in my Crusades hotseat game, it's time to rename some cities.

Would anyone here happen to know a good name to change Krek de Chevaliers to? I'm about to conquer it in the hotseat game and I'd like to give it a good name.

Hi Zim, which faction are you playing ? Turks right ?

Arabic is Qal'at al-Ḥiṣn. Maybe Mouzapherre would know the name in Turkish ?

Mir... HAHAHA! beauty is an illusion, fortunately, a very tangible illusion. As life, some would say.

Love is an illusion too. Wherein lies the premise of the play...

Yep, I'm playing the Turks. Better yet, I just got that lovely "faction destroyed" message about Antioch.

I plan on renaming as many provinces to fit as possible.
