    Default Couple of Questions

    Hello,

In my Casse campaign I have a Cornove general married to one of Barae's daughters. He (the Cornove) has 2 sons. What I want to know is, when they grow up, is there any chance of them getting their ethnicity from their mother's side of the family i.e getting their grandfather's ethnicity as Cassae seems to be better than Cornove (conquerors vs. farmers) or do they have to have their father's ethnicity?

My other question is, when I was scrolling over the map to check Saba's position, I noticed Dumatha, which had been there in 0.81, had gone, leaving an empty wilderness in Arabia. Where has it gone?

My guess: eaten up by the mighty sand worms (dune)?

One of the EB members said a few weeks ago that it wasn't, using normal ways. (Maybe possible by cheating, such as moving an army right next to Terharza [sp.] and taking it etc.) But I'm almost sure it will break something about the game and might even result in CTD. The same or another EB member said that they were using the town/province for storing some unusual buildings keeping track of the game.

The settlement slot for Dumatha was used to make 'Babylon'. The territory of 'Arabia' was combined with the unconquerable territory of 'Sahara' to make 'Eramos' (desert). If you cheat to conquer the Sahara, you will get Arabia too. There is no reason to take the city, though, as it won't make you money and is filled with strange buildings that are used by the script to track your progress (every time you quit the game the script sets all counters to zero, so these buildings will remind the script of what has been accomplished).

The reason the territory was made unconquerable is due to the fact that is was historically worthless, hard to hold, and shouldn't be that easy to march through (as the AI does). Also, this change slows down the speed at which the Seleukids march against Saba.
