I have automated all functions tho i take on some unit training and building works myself.

I am puzzled because there is building going on which doesnt show up when i click on the review panel. also do upgrades to castles and armourers etc happen automatically?

If you automate something, you actually tell the AI "handle this as if it was another AI faction", meaning that it makes the decission in the turn together with the other factions ("Thinking" or so).

So you will never see buildings that last only 1 turn (tower etc), because the AI orders the tower, and at once resolves the order.

But as to upgrade automatically, it should not do that. If it does, there may be (I doubt it though) some AI-cheating going on here ...

    Please check and give details.

I just have to say that Auto-Tax is a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD idea. Prepare for rebellions.
    Just an old-fashioned cowboy.

RE: upgrades - i dont see how you can order upgrdes - there isnt the choice on the building menu 0 or have i missed something - does it take so many years to be able to order an upgrade.

RE: autotax - i am on the easy level as its my first game - and there have been no rebellions yet. but looking zat the tax levels - they are all high - so i expect there would be trouble on more difficult levels.

With upgrade I mean a building of a higher tier replacing another building.

    Example:
You build a Keep, and in doing so so replace the fort. If the province is sacked (siege successfull), you loose one "level", going back to fort.

You do not see a button "upgrade", but you can select a building that is replacing an existing building. You will know very soon what builing replaces which.
