The Alans do exist today, however as Îrôn of Ossetia, and live in enclaves here and there throughout the Caucasus. Culturally and ethnically, they differ from the ethnic natives of Colchis (Lazica/Lâzistân/Machelonia) and Caucasian Iberia (Kartli).
