    Probably when the Chinese were chasing after the nomadic tribes - Xiongnu/Yuezhi/etc their rode giant pandas as equivalent of elephants...but the pandas all starved because there were no bamboo in Europe. :(

    As carthage EB 0.84 I once had an Admiral Ackbar, he survived for 20 years and was the bane of roman shipping in the med until he was caught in a trap by a full stack of pirates. wish I had taken a picture
