Default Re: tips and guides for arche selukia

I'm only 8 years into my campaign but things are looking good.
Moved my capital to Susa to get my cities out of the red public orderwise.
I basically only focus on my western cities Sardis,Antiochia, Mazaka, Damascus etc. Except for a couple of the big eastern cities, I ignore development and concentrate my spending. I raise taxes in all those small towns and screw growth(do I even have the money to upgrade my governor?)

I also move all of the extra levy pikes out of the backwaters and replace them with skirmishers. Got to get rid of your ships and cavalry as well as those pandapoi spears to reduce costs.

As for diplomacy I stay at peace with Armenia, Baktria, and Parthia and just attack Ptolemoi ASAP. Though they struck first in 3 turns. My current strategy is to trap them in Egypt and I've been attacking south taking Ptolie provinces and as well as those rebel ones. I might take Tarsus too and then consolidate and wait for some Family Members to get some good traits.

Also big tip, FMs are really needed for AS, and attacking rebel stacks to get Man of the Hour is helpful even though they tend to be military focused guys.

Oh yeah, and pandapoi pikes are good units don't waste money too soon.
