I just had a dream last night about Europa Barbarorum where I recruited 4 units of "Persian spearmen archers" and 2 units of "hoplites that threw javelins" in Asia Minor.
Do these units actually exist or am I going crazy from too much EB?

Persian archer-spearmen and thureophoroi/thorakitai? Lol, I've been known to daydream, but this is ridiculous...

to my shame ive had a dream of RTW once. I was staying over at a mates house and i gave him Vanilla on disc, and he loved it. That night I dreamt we were playing it multiplayer, on a 'hot seat' version of it. He played as Germany and I was Julii. How sad...
I once dreamed of the Roman voicemod. I thought that voice was shouting commands at me. When I woke up it turned out that two drunken girls were shouting on the street (not that I think, that the Roman voice sounds like a drunken girl, for sure).

Wow, so those units actually exist? I guess I must've read about them somewhere and then dreamed about them. lol

What were they doing? might be worth more than one thumbs up
Once you start dreaming about scripting and writing code - that is when it is bad.
I always dreams about games after I played them for hours

Well, they had a debate that was, as I far as I could follow it, not about ancient military history.

At least there was a lot of "Verp*** dich!", "Leck mich am Ar****!", "Du Schl****!" and the like in the air.
It really suck when you dream about a whole battle wwhere you are the general nd save the day and than wake up and see it's not true

Or when you pick up "exotic slaves" and "mistress" ancillaries after battles/campaigns and then you wake up and find out they're gone...
I once had a dream similar to Konny's except it was the Celtic Voicmod shouting at me. Then It started singing (sounded terrible). Turned out my mother had put some music on to get me out of bed.

Last night when I come very late from work, I took a shower and went to sleep. I dreamed of heavy Sarmatian cavalry charging a unit that seemed to me to be chinese. I was riding with them and my horse was knocked from under me, and after I get up, I faught with sword and shield. Then another charge followed, and when I looked behind me I saw like a great dragon like thing which had swords coming out of its flanks, pointing outwards. Then I was hit by a charging horse, and got up a little bit frightened in the early morning. The thing is the dream was so real, that I could hardly believe that I was dreaming
Do you thing it was a call from ancient Sarmatian warriors to give their faction a try on EB.
Cheers.

Nope, that's the Queue hairstyle of the Manchurian Qing Dynasty - that's really just 17th-20th century hairstyles. You're way out of EB's timeframe lol.
During EB's timeframe (or just pre-17th century), they would've had hairstyles similar to this one:

Lol, there was a post earlier about Gauls meeting the Chinese - something about a Panda captain, so I thought I should mention it along with your dream.
But my mistress? lol, I wish... I just happen to have a large collection of pictures regarding different soldiers and cultures from around the war. And I stumbled across that picture while visiting various historical forums.
I have an awesome picture of a Parthian Cataphract...if only I could find it.

[Eastern European Accent=ON]A good omen this is my friend. You will succeed in little and your soldiers will be fighting good and surpass their strength.[Eastern European Accent=OFF]

Probably not. I have all sorts of weird dreams. For example, I'm 27 and seems a little bit stupid to still be talking about dreams. What does a normal 27 year old do? HTF am I supposed to know? Than the answer came to me! And I woke up... Only to plop back to bed again and have night mares. Hmm...
TWFanatic 01:49 12-09-2007
That's nothing. There are photos around in this forum that show Romans with camaras; even though I can't say what is more amazing: that they had cameras or that we have photos of it.

Don't Worry, you probably dream about EB all the time, perhaps every night. On this particular occasion you just remembered your EB dream. EB isnt making you crazy, just improving your ability to remember useless, irrelevent information.

I could've sworn I saw a 2nd century CE Roman soldier standing in front of a 1970's chevrolet in one of the pictures too... >_>

It's not quite useless. I can use EB's information to write midterm essays on ancient millitaries of the western world. :D

I think about EB all the time before I fall asleep, but if I do dream about it, I do not remember in the morning, probably because of all the drinking I do.

Dont get me wrong, EB is fantastically useful. The useless irrelevent information was the dream.

I usually have an EB dream at least 3 times a week. I quite enjoy them.
