I'm having a problem with Rome. When I load it up, the opening video won't play; it skips straight to the menu screen, and the background animation remains the still phalanx shot. This has happened before. I simply uninstalled it and reinstalled and it fixed the problem. But this time when I did that, the animations still didn't work after reinstall. I don't think it's affected gameplay, but I haven't really tested. Not running any mods, although I think I saw a stray Mundus Magnus folder in the directory somewhere. Other than that, any ideas about what this is or what to do about it? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Try to reinstall Windows Media Player.
