    Default Yet another "What-faction-for-AAR" thread

    *points at thread title*

Myep, I'm going to do another AAR. Can't decide on the faction, however. This morning, some completely crazy idea arose in my head:

Baktria. First gathering all my armies, head for the south, build a fleet, sail for Italia and conquer it. How crazy is that?

Conquer Italia HALF way across the planet?
DAMN that would be the best AAR because you would need to send your fleet though 100,000 miles of Hostile waters........LOVE it do it

Yes. I'm currently busy marching southward through Seleucid territory, while having 12,000 in debt. Hmmm. Let's see how I'll manage :p

It may be another 20 turns before I can even get a fleet going.

When you get a fleet you could land every now and then to pillage some cities for cash..

Of course you will have to be wary of casualties.

he should make several full stacks and several full fleets, then embark- but make sure the settlement that you capture to make the fleets has a port that can make ships- imagine fighting a very costly battle then discovering you cant make ships!

Definently. Make sure you are well prepared. This might mean playing for a while in the east until you have enough money to build powerful fleets to get your civilization to Italia safely. Good luck, this will make an interesting AAr.

Oh, btw, when you do get there, I hope the Romans crush you.

I can't wait to crush my Baktrioi Kataphraktoi into those foolish Roman soldiers!

Just think of how much corruption there will be in any Italian cities you conquer.

Been worrying about that as well. But as soon as I get into Italy, and conquer a bit around there, I will completely leave Baktria.

Since my pc went evil again and Baktria not working out the way it should, I'll need your help to decide again!

Hmmm. Loooking at The Recruitment viewer it would seem that your recruitment in southern italy wouldn't have been that bad had your campaign survived. What about a campaign in which you migrate to india as the Saka or Baktrians. Or you could play a campaign and migrate to Galatia as the Aedui/Arverni/Casse. Or you could play the KH and migrate to a greek colony. And your recruitment would be pretty good according to the viewer.

Try a KH campaign where you migrate to either Bosphorus or Massalia (cant decide myself). If you go to Massalia you can play the Aedui and Arverni off of each other as you conquer them- that could be fun. But if you go to Bosphorus you can get horse archers into your armies and then take down either Sauromatae or Getae. Good luck!
