    Default Pontos Government Ressources

I was just wondering whether the Government ressources are the regiones that
were owned by the ancient persian empire.

I don't think so. I think it is what Pontos historically controlled before they were defeated by the Romans.

If you mean the govt1 & govt2 provinces, IIRC: yes. Though the most north-eastern area/border (Phalav-Baktrian starting regions) went deeper into the steppe/mountains. Take a look a map of the Achaemenid Empire on wikipedia. There should be a map.

Towards the end of the book, the Moties quote an old story from Herodotus:

"Once there was a thief who was to be executed. As he was taken away he made a bargain with the king: In one year he would teach the king's favorite horse to sing hymns."
"The other prisoners watched the thief singing to the horse and laughed. 'You will not succeed,' they told him. 'No one can.' To which the thief replied, 'I have a year, and who knows what will happen in that time. The king might die. The horse might die. I might die. And perhaps the horse will learn to sing.'"

Well, the dichotomy/antagonism/difference between the Pontic V.C. and govt1/govt2 provinces make me wonder for a while. IIRC, one of the team once stated that the V.C.s were/are projected areas of expansion of the late Pontic kings of our timeline.

Personally, when playing with Pontos, I always try to recreate the Achaemenid Empire (but I go for/to Hellas too, btw).

    P.S. cool, my 300th post!
