Holiday Freebie: Divx Pro Bundle

A geek friend just alerted me to this: Divx is doing a temporary giveaway of their Pro bundle. Might be of interest to some Orgahs, perhaps?

I think at some point there were some people complaining that they were packaging crapware in their bundle, but I can't recall if it was in the free version, or in the pro one. Any idea if that's still the case ?
I've noticed on their page that they ask you if you want to install a toolbar, but they give you a choice... hopefully that's all there is.

I guess I'm just saying be a bit cautious, as you should always be.

I'll look after this and see what comes out of it. I may get it if there are not too many complaints about spyware being included.

What's it good for? I can already play anything I want and I don't feel like rendering any videos myself.

If you don't intend to encode video, then it's kinda pointless. But I figured there must be a couple of Orgahs who compile their own video now and then ...
