    Default Sarmizegetusa-luptătorii

What is the early connection between the Romans and the Sarmizegetusa-luptătorii?

    Almost invented it myself, yet...

Is there some kind of connection between the primal-Roman military wolf-cult and the later Romanian luptătorii?

    Mouzafphaerre, Google Sarmizegetusa wolf/wolf-warrior?

There was a Roman military wolf cult? Did not know about that...

Sarmisegetuza is the capital of the Getai and they carried a wolf-like battle standard.

But I really don't know of any large scale wolf worshiping in Dacia. So I don't see a connection. Maybe it was the fact that the draco standard was latter adopted by the Roman cavalry (quoting wiki here, so the info may be incorrect). Maybe a an EB Getai member can shed more light on your question...

Is luptătorii a Romanian word for soldier? Just asking.
