I dont know anything about modding,playing them,making them,or fuguring out all thes diffrent threads for them...so I ask......wich to choose?Is there one that focuses on the punic wars or seperates the barbarian tribes?Did I even put this thread in the right hall?

It sounds like you want a historical mod, so I would recommend you download and try EB. It has a subforum in the hosted mods section.

man there are so many mods out, your spoilt for choice i'll name a few. SPQR, rome total realism, Europa Barbaourum(sorry cant spell it), fourth age total war,each mod focuses on different things , for example rome total realism, Europa Barbaourum focus on realism or say SPQR which normally has you commanding huge amounts of armies on the map.
, many many more maybe you should look on hosted mods in the org, or another site http ://www.twcenter.net/ thats a good site for mods, its similar to the org. good luck

yeah EB would be an excellent choice but beware it can take along time to load , according to the computer of course but dont let that stop you.
