EB MP is the S***!!! hopefully once I get my internet working at home I can intouch with Pharnk and madmatg to see if EB 1.0 MP is really working or not.

.81x was pretty good too bad I never got to play you TWfanatic, BUT I did play madmatg after he was schooled by you in the use of slingers. To this day I hate slingers.... charriots are a close 2nd.

So I just tried vanilla RTW again for the first time since EB .7 something was out, and quickly remembered why, after buying Rome, I played with it for about a week before going right back to Medieval 1 for another two years or so. I wouldn't even know where to start.

The atrocious voice acting really stood out to me, I wasn't sure if I should laugh or feel disgusted hearing my charging Principes (complete with Lorica Hamata- oops) yelling "UNLEASH HAYLE!!" in a southern US drawl. One also can't forget not being able to take playing as any Greek factions due to getting tired of being called "Strappy Horse" (due to the voice actor's inability to pronounce "Strategos" properly in his awful fake Greek accent" each time you clicked an army.

Needless to say, the "Try Vanilla again" experiment lasted for about 5 minutes- Thanks EB team, once again, I love you all for this King of game mods.

Please, share, what is wrong with EB mp opposite to RTW mp, I'm very interested (since me is complete noob in any kind of mp)

well I didn't play vanilla MP that much the thing that really bugged me was the inacuracies in the units just like in SP. For example... I had Roman Pretorian Cavarly beat up the best of Macedonian cavarly and I was like "HEY! that ain't right!"

and I also had Spartan Hoplies chew up Silver Shields.

you know for EB... all of us have yet to play 1.0 EB MP at this time I can't say much becuase I will be talking about .81x.

I've continued my vanilla campaign! For a moment, battles seemed tougher than in EB and I was wow... Then, I realized I was mmaking that great stratejic flaw that is placing my heavy infantry to absorb the charge from the heavy cavalry... Now that's a mistake in vanilla. Not only does a single unit of Heavy cavalry routs 3 units of hastati and 2 of equites, they're plain ugly! Still, I'm having an amusing time it's been fourty turns and I have Gaul and half of the "Spain" after obliterating those damn "Spaniards" :p
Oh and I made a custom battle just to remember how I missed the Romans super Ninja assassins "Arcani" they are the best they can hide in the middle of a road!!!
