    Default Sound question

if this is covered in a tutorial, then i missed it. how can I add a sound for when a new unit in dmb is clicked on. they say nothing, and im content to use the sounds already in the game, so how can i attach it to a new unit? for example i want to add the "hastati" shout to my new hastati. thanks for the help

You need to make a new entry in export_descr_sounds_units_voice.txt and link your unit with the appropriate sound.

If no tutorial can be found (and I think there is one on this btw) then it's always good to download a mod that has unit voices implemented and see how they have done it. By searching out things you not only learn for yourself but often pick up other things that you will miss if simply told what to do.

    do as I did ...

search your entire "data" folder for say "hastati" and see where the unit is used, you'll find that except for EDU/EDB/EDMB/etc most files found will have the word "sound" in them ....
from there on the adding of sounds to new units is childs-play, as you will probably notice once you've seen them ...
