EB is all about historical accuracy, so they are most likely historical (in as far as we can know, 23 centuries on). Ceasar wasn't always right.

Sorry, if this is an obvious question. I tried to search around for an answer to no avail.

I see the bonuses, but with regard to character traits/ancillaries that are generated. Most of the temples are self explanatory: battle / farming / governor (which I assume is management/tax).

What does fertility do? -- increase the chance of producing children?

The temples of forge and fun really stump me. What do each do?

Those names are meaningless. They just indicate which line-of-buildings is used for this particular temple. For example, the Aedui temple of fun (Cernunnos) corresponds to the Averni temple of fun (Succellos), so if the Aedui conquer a temple of Succellos they will get the same bonuses, traits and ancillaries as for the corresponding level of the temple of Cernunnos. If they upgrade the conquered temple, it will turn into a temple of Cernunnos as well.

Those are the internal names for the temples.

I think that they had a function in vanilla RTW (think, it is a long, long time since I played vanilla)

Temple of Fun = happiness bonus
Temple of Forge = armor or weapon bonus

But like Ludens said, they have no meaning in EB except determining which building slot is used.

Btw Ludens, great thread. Really helpful!
