A minor annoyance

Iv'e noticed that every time I bribe a General/family member/city with govenor, that they always die the next turn, apparently heroicly in battle, but its more as if they've been assasinated.

It happens EVERY time, regardless of campaign difficulty, so I'm simply thinking, what is this eh?

Vanilla effects as far as I know. I don't know if it is to try and balance things out, to keep you from cheating much, or what, but it has done that for ages.

Just pretend that you are buying his "early retiring" or for him to turn a blind eye for a while, not his whole loyalty.
