    Red face why are the aplethoi ( the peasants) so strong

    why are the aplethoi ( the peasants) so strong , its annoying that when I attack say with unit of polibian princepes with a a unit of aplethoi I lose so many men does this happen to anyone else?
    its so irritating to see my soldies being equaled by peasants !
