Huh. Looks like it was just a bunch of petty vandalism editing of various pages. No evidence of a vast government conspiracy to control information (unless you count adding 'These Theories are Retarded' under 9/11 conspiracy theories). Which I guess is good. But the lack of professionalism on display is concerning. I suspect the various edits were made by different DHS employees.

The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the forces of the Crown. It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England cannot enter – all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement! - William Pitt the Elder
Much ado about nothing. There is no concentrated effort to change articles relevant to the DHS. These Wiki entries were edited:

Here's the edit to 9/11 conspiracy theories. Edited part in bold.
Some chap (chaps?) at the DHS has a bit too much spare time. And not enough common sense to not use tracable government computers from an already controversial agency.Since the events of 9/11, a variety of conspiracy theories about them have emerged. These include speculation that individuals in the government of the United States knew of the impending attacks and failed to act on that knowledge, or that they actually planned the attacks. Conspiracy theorists have claimed that the collapse of the World Trade Center was caused by explosives. Some also contend that a commercial airliner did not crash into the Pentagon, and that United Airlines Flight 93 was shot down.
ALL OF THESE THEORIES ARE RETARDED!!!
I was much more impressed when the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture was making thousands of edits to the Gundam articles.
This one is the best
But if you want to turn this into a conversation about Governments editting wikipedia, we had many problems with that just prior to our last election where the Government editted many wikipedia pages that were about things that a lot of people criticised (Our now previous) Government for.

Cry havoc and let slip the HOGS of war
It is impossible to "vandalize" something that has no credibility in the first place.
He's right, i edit wiki's all the time. Some might call it vandalism, but the truth is rarely corrupting even when esposed by a crack pot like me.Originally Posted by Navaros
