I have fallen in love with Nashi, or pear apples as they are called also. The fruit are less sweeter then pears and less solid then apples and have a fine refreshing taste. I recommend these delicious things to anyone who can get those in their hands.![]()

Interesting you should say apples. According to QI Turkey consumes more apples than any other country in the world.
Me, I like apples, though I don't know what kind they are. We actually have an apple tree and my grandmother used to make apple pies from it's apples.
...eh, not so much n apple guy. grapes, oranges, tomatoes, peaches, love them all. but could never really get into apples.

There is one type of apple that I have never seen in a supermarket, never bought commercialy, but they are the best apples ever. Lord Lambourne (sp?)variety, small but the flavour is amazing.
Granny smith's. Lovely taste, size, and firm. Oddly enough, I like mixing them with Tropicana simply pure orange juice. Also, they are durable enough and keep well enough so that when I get a craving for a hoarde of oranges, I can indulge safely.
Apple pie is good, but nothing beats our family's sweet 'tater pie. (not potato, but 'tater)

Small, red apples amazingly delicious. There was a tree, about twenty years ago, at mom's village and I would eat dozens of what was called "honey apples" there. Now, that was the sole exception to my apple dislike. Can you be talking about the same stuff Jubal? Interesting...
