A friend here on EB Forums sent me a saved game of the Romans and whenever i start it the game crashes onto the desktop. Can anyone tell me what the problem is. This doesn't happen with any other saved game i've played

Possibly your friend was using some unoffical mods that you're not, thus making the saved game uncompitable with your EB?

You could also try to delete or rename your map.rwm files.
