Unlocking factions in RTW

This seems to be an embarassingly basic question, I know, and I'm not sure if it's been answered before (I've looked and not found any), but does anyone know how to play as, say, Numidia or Thrace or Armenia?

I know how to edit the desc_strat-- I've done that, and the factions all show up on the imperial campaign screen, but so far, of the factions originally not playable, only Macedon has been able to play. Clicking on the icons of any other non-playable faction causes a crash-to-desktop.

Below is how I edited my file. Is there anything I did wrong?

Yep, you moved them from unplayable to unlockable instead of playable

This is how it should be:

You need also make faction description in campaign_descriptions.txt which located in data/text folder..
Like this

{IMPERIAL_CAMPAIGN_ARMENIA_TITLE}Armenia
{IMPERIAL_CAMPAIGN_ARMENIA_DESCR}...

for all unplayable factions.
At least this is what I did to get it work..

You can still use them if you put them to unlockable, but only if you either beat the campaign or defeat the faction.

But why did Macedon work? I've played the game many, many times, as every one of the originally playable factions, and beaten the campaigns.

Macedon and Pontus were going to make 'playable' or 'unlockable' factions, and has their descriptions
