I seem to remember watching a TV show about the Queen of Sheba and Saba was pronounced as in drab.
.
Sab is pronounced like "sub"; the rest is "een".
Impressive AAR Jorduan, thanks.Originally Posted by Jorduan
All you need to do to take pictures is hitting Print Screen. The image will then be stored in the \Rome - Total War\tgas folder. You'll need to convert them to JPEG before posting. To avoid this, you may use a clipboard manager. My preference is ClipMate. With it's loaded, if you copy anything to the Windows clipboard, which is what actually happens when you hit PrintScreen, ClipMate captures and stores the data. Afterwards you may export them and images can be converted to JPEG during the export process.
Then you'll need to upload your image to ImageShack to show us.

Wouldn't the y be pronounced like an î (RO), ы (RU), ı (TK+AZ) or y (PL)?Originally Posted by Mouzafphaerre

AFAIK a prolonged i, hence "een" as in En. "sheen".
When QwertyMidx is returns, he would hopefully provide us all with the most accurate info.

Might be a bit late, but what I did was I used my generals like crazy. They make excellent units, and if you lead them right, they can rank up to 3 gold chevrons in a matter of several battles. Once you have that, lots of archers and a couple of mercenary phalanx or red sea hoplites. I found that the successor cavalry were a huge threat so I focused on anti- cavalry infantry that could also hold a line so that the archer spearman could rush in the back and just bombard the rear with flame arrows. I've managed to crush elite Ptolemoi phalanx and galatians with just a few red sea hoplites and archers using this method.
Plus, when expanding, focus on Africa. I haven't finished my campaign yet but I never went all the way up the Arabian coast near Seleukia, I put all my power into South Africa, developed the cities a bit, and turtled my way up the Nile. I have memphis now, I'm about to take Alexandria and the Ptolemoi seem to be pretty much crushed while my economy is now booming thanks to Memphis. Keep in mind my economy was roughly the equivalent of crap throughout half the game and the only reason I stayed in the fight was because of my battle strategies to take out the Ptolies.
Plus... Not sure if this was just chance or if this really was helping me, but try getting a team of five assassins and target Alexandria. I noticed that from taking a settlement the repairs for wonders can go up to 20k, so I kept sabotaging the lighthouse and tomb of Alexandros, and it seemed like their finances just plummeted.
Hope this helped some. =]
