Game Runs Amazingly Slow and a Small Bug Report

I've played RTW and BI for awhile now. I've had a few minor problems in the past with some skipping in the campaign map and slow load time into battles, however when I turned graphics to maximize 'speed' to ran fine. However when I installed EB everything slowed to a crawl. It takes 5+ minutes to load the game, then another 2-3 minutes to load the campaign map, and a solid 3 minutes every time I hit 'End Turn' until it gets back to me.

I went to options and changed the graphics to maximize 'speed'; it had no effect. I then uninstalled everything and reinstalled RTW (1.5), BI, and EB from scratch and I still have the same problem.

The game is still playable, but it extremely annoying to spent 60%-80% of your time just waiting for the game to load. EB is a great mod and I really want to be able to run it at normal speeds.


Sidenote - Bug Report: I'm playing as the Lusotannan and when I build a 'Bardic Circle' the description is a sentence saying something about me not supposed to be able to that and to report it if I do.
