Default NTW1 - Graphics wizard wanted...........

    Greetings and Happy New Year,

For those of you who have never heard of us ( and not many have! ), we’re the outfit developing a NTW version combining the historical accuracy of figure gaming with the speed and versatility of computer games. We’ve been beavering away for about a year now manipulating files and statistics and think we have a pretty close simulation of Napoleonic Warfare. We chose NTW1 for several reasons but primarily because it lends itself more suitably to historical simulation.

Now we would like to tackle some improvements to the look of things. Details such as uniform changes, small additions to equipment etc. Being old ( literally!) Napoleonic wargamers we have all the information but we would like to meet an enthusiastic modder who knows the NTW1 graphics scene and would be willing to contribute. We realise the limitations with NTW1 but think there is room for some improvement.

We can offer some interesting challenges, whatever you need (within reason ) in the way of software and the chance to make a major contribution to what should turn out to be an outstanding Napoleonic game. We are officially sanctioned by the Lordz and owe them a debt of gratitude for the initial mod.

Look forward to hearing from you, just drop a contact address to falkonfive@hotmail.com

    Cheers,

    The 1809 Society (NTW Revival)

So what you are trying to do is to improve NTW1 in terms of historical accuracy and gameplay etc.

    Right?

Exactly. We've done a lot of work to the system to give a more accurate range of troop types, realistic results in firepower and combat. Morale now reflects the quality and type of soldier. We plan to have seperate 'sets' for different periods e.g French pre 1812, post 1812 etc. The other major addition to the basic NTW is the pre set Orders of Battle for major actions along with corresponding maps.

Our problem now is trying to improve the graphics, even a simple uniform colour change for things like Italian and Confederation troops is beyond our ability.
