Thread: Crash Upon Loading The Game

Default Crash Upon Loading The Game

First of all, I should mention that the first time I installed Europa Barbarorum, I had no problem after following the installation instructions and played it for a couple of weeks until it stopped working for no reason I can see.
I took all of my Rome files off and tried starting fresh twice, ensured it was patched to 1.5, and just applied all the permanent and temporary fixes.
Still the game crashes on startup. The exact point it crashes is when the first screen with a loading bar (with the map of Europe background) appears, before any of the bar is filled. I ran the installation validation, the report of missing files is very long (4.34 MB of text, too much to post here). I'm going to take a wild guess that that is the problem.

Try adding " -nm" to the end of the target line of the EB desktop shortcut.

You probably didn't run the validation from your RTW directory. You have to do it from there.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

Renaming the shortcut didn't change anything.

This is the place to run it in, right?

Yes, that seems right. Except for the huge size of the results file, of course . Could you upload it to some hosting service, like Axifile or Rapidshare?

Oh, and Marcus didn't mean to rename the shortcut, but to modify its target property.
