One of my favorite tactics is the Oblique Order. I advance with my strongest flank ahead of the other, falling back in gradual increments all the way to the other side so as to advance with a diagonal line. I deny the enemy his strongest flank (where I've placed my weakest troops), but crush his weakest with my best. Then I turn inwards and roll up the flank, meanwhile engaging each unit from the front. This way I do not have to engage more than a few units at the time, and these I get to completely surround before moving on to the next down the line.
