The family thing for me is a big selling point. To others, they might realize that his policies themselves are spot on for us. Either way - this guy is a big deal in the G.O.P., whether people see it at this point in the campaign or not. I'm nto discouraged. Mitt, so far in the 3 first states, carries the most widespread appeal to Republicans. In Wyoming, McCain and Huckabee barely registered, even after Iowa. In Iowa, Huckabee did very well and McCain barely registered. In NH, McCain did pretty well and Huckabee barely registered.
Who has registered consistently so far?
2nd in Iowa, 1st in Wyoming, 2nd in NH
I just hope that he can pull the Reagan coalition closer together and appeal to southerners like Reagan and Bush Senior did.
