Of course I can. There is, however, the element that doubts the idea that people can seem like and actually BE good people.

The family thing for me is a big selling point. To others, they might realize that his policies themselves are spot on for us. Either way - this guy is a big deal in the G.O.P., whether people see it at this point in the campaign or not. I'm nto discouraged. Mitt, so far in the 3 first states, carries the most widespread appeal to Republicans. In Wyoming, McCain and Huckabee barely registered, even after Iowa. In Iowa, Huckabee did very well and McCain barely registered. In NH, McCain did pretty well and Huckabee barely registered.

Who has registered consistently so far?
2nd in Iowa, 1st in Wyoming, 2nd in NH

I just hope that he can pull the Reagan coalition closer together and appeal to southerners like Reagan and Bush Senior did.

Most of the more substantial doubts I've seen about Romney haven't been about his squeaky-clean style, but about a worrying tendency to change his public views quite frequently as the public opinion changes. That, coupled with his presentation, make some wonder about his sincerity.

I think that it is clear that he is a Republican who has shared their ideas on limited government for a long time and so had his father.

I am a strong pro-lifer as many may have noticed. All a candidate needs to do is recognize the absurdity of Roe v. Wade for me to back them at this stage. They can even believe in abortion, as long as they want to come to a democratic conclusion about it at either the state or Federal level. This isn't a tall order - it is reasonable and responsible. Even the pro-abortion uber-attorney Alan Dershowitz (who I absolutely respect) believes that the verdict was a sham. Romney goes one beyond this and says that he would eventually like to see the practice end because he believes it is a destruction of life. He is a smart guy. If he recognizes anything it is that you can change, but only change once. if you change, then change back, that is a Flip (change) Flop (change back).

I am confident in both his personal resolve on the issue. If that fails, I am confident in his political sense on the matter.

Oh common to back up medical marrijuna is simply not possible, medical industry needs to test and test and test to avoid claims what if he even thinks about allowing it and something happens instant death. Wheelchair yeah terrible must suck but sucks even more to exploit how much it sucks.

That's a classic political ambush. I actually give him credit for sticking to his guns when faced with the "kid in wheelchair" attack. Of course, his answer would've been better had he added, "No, I won't arrest you." to his answer. Afterall, whatever his position, the president doesn't personally go out and arrest anyone. Personally, I don't see anything "scumbag" about his response.

That's my main problem with him. I generally like what Romney's selling- I'm just not sure that I'm buying it.

I was discussing our current crop of duds who want to be president with a friend today, who asked me if, in light of how uninspiring the current contenders are, would I consider voting Bush again if I was able to.... I actually had to think about it... you have no idea how depressing a thought that is.

They are all a bunch of slimes if you ask me, Rudy I like though he seems genuine at least no inner alarm Chez Fragony's. Americans are strange people, when I saw Clinton's desperate housewive act I thought she was a gonner but they eat it! As if being fragile got her where she is madness. Exactly.

Yeah that doesn't really forward conversation, but he never comes across as a guy you can trust in debates and that's a far better indicator of character in my opinion than how "perfect" his family life may appear.
