What is your favourite opening cutscene (at the beginning of the campaign)? My favourite is, by far, the Greek one.
"The Greeks could rule the world. Alexander did. He took a Greek army to the far Indus. There was nothing left to conquer; the world was his."
Does anyone remember the full text?
Not off thetop of my head.
I prefer the Julii cutscene..."Gods, I hate Gauls....My grandfather did even before they put out his eyes!" Tres Bien
Barbarian 17:29 01-10-2008
I like the barbarian one.
"So we fight to keep what is ours. What must stay ours! There can be no peace! No peace with romans, men of iron and stone and lies! There can be only war!"

Haha, yeah, I remember that..... it's pretty ironic, because if you're playing as the Romans, in the beginning you will manage to ally with Germania most of the time. xD
Does anyone know why the Numidia campaign uses the barbarian cutscene?
It is probably something to do with the fact that they are not meant to be played, SPQR has a barbarian one too

i would have to agree the greek one is the best
Greeks, easily
I just love the Parthian one.
'So leaders keep coming, keep trying to take our lands and our wealth, but then wealth flows through this land, And if our people have one failing it is the love of wealth.... Gold can buy a thousand warriors, and a thousand warriors they are the start of an empire'
Its really ironic, because you start with no money at all.
The Egyptian one is great too, all the stuff about dying for Pharaoh
when in the game he sends his endless hordes, 'to die for Pharaoh'.

I like the Brutii, with the Gerard Butler (of 300 fame) kind of voice over. "WE" did this "WE" did that and "WE" did the other (thish ish Shhhpaaarttaa). That's my favourite cutscene by far. Shame the film was crap and the campaign is too easy.

i like the greek one the best
"Before my grandfather granfather was born, this is our land" and "They take our sons and turn them to little romans" HA!

the greek one is probably the best, julii being the second best.
Greek and Egyptian, Julii is a close third.
