That's easy enough; you can take out the papacy on turn 3 or 4 as milan (add another 10 turns to kill off the popes for good if you want to go that way), and from there the rest of the goals are just a matter of time![]()

What i meant is you will be at war with all other factions from start, no relations mean no money, extermination mean no money from taking city and low tax income, you need money and time to take religion capitals and build churches there, and you will NEVER get mason guild headquarters.
well I know another rule to making it impoissible: don't recruit any units, build any buildings, move any troops or fight any battles. Also use the console to give alll other factions infinite money and about 30 full triple gold stacks of their best men.
Is it even possible to completely wipe out the Papal States? According to the manual, the Papal States can never be destroyed, should you take their capital, they'll just settle in another place in another faction's domain.
(Exterminating populace? What's wrong with that? I often do this when I see that big red frown on the city.)

Come to the Throne Room to play multiplayer hotseat campaigns and RPGs in M2TW.
Agreed, playing dumb is no fun at all.
I've been criticized even, for taking every advantage given to me by a weak AI and a loophole-laden game. I simply pushed for maximum efficiency and aimed for maximum number of provinces taken in a minimum time frame.
Popped up with a record of 108 provinces by turn 58.
Did blitz campaigns with Muslims and Orthodoxies.
Whipped Lands to Conquer's rear end.
Now, I'm limiting myself to 10 core provinces and I am liberating the map and turning it over to the rebels. After that, I'll try to do that in record time.
With no crusading, no assassinations, and several other rules too. No sacking, no exterminating, and no garrisons in provinces 11 and up. No priests and no churches recruited/built. On LTC very hard/very hard of course.
Why would you play with anything else? LTC VH/VH means Hurt Me Plenty. I want a challenge, not a limp wristed opponent.

Umm. These are house rules.Originally Posted by zaher

-Marry your daughter to the pope
-Build the largest cathedral within the first 10 turns
-Launch a crusade on South America
And that does sound too dumb and blunt for my liking.Originally Posted by zaher

With any rules, for wargamers this game is too simple. Until you play MP.
And CA must understand it and do something to make SP interesting. What rules will we need in Empire TW? Not to build ships? Not to use gunpowder? Or capture whole world in 6 turns?
I playing now with 10 provinces rule and use other homecrafted rules, but i think, that is not a great idea, because i doubt there is something left from original game here, more like i using program to play MY game.
Yeah, something like this, including " Dont buy next TW game" until they use Shogun engine.Originally Posted by Elite Ferret
