Thread: XL unit guide?

    Default XL unit guide?

Does anyone know if there is a guide for the new units XL introduces, and for any changes made to old units? It could be a big help. For example, I did not know that Swiss halberdiers are available in Rome and the Papal States. If I'd known that, His Holiness wouldn't have bothered to invade Switzerland!
In those simple times there was a great wonder and mystery in life. Man walked in fear and solemnity, with Heaven very close above his head, and Hell below his very feet. God's visible hand was everywhere, in the rainbow and the comet, in the thunder and the wind. The Devil too raged openly upon the earth; he skulked behind the hedge-rows in the gloaming; he laughed loudly in the night-time; he clawed the dying sinner, pounced on the unbaptized babe, and twisted the limbs of the epileptic. A foul fiend slunk ever by a man's side and whispered villainies in his ear, while above him there hovered an angel of grace . . .

This is a question that gets asked fairly regularly, but unfortunately the answer is no. Sorry!

Maybe if someone asked VikingHorde real nicely, however....

You can always check the XL faction guides for what units factions have available. XL guides

You can also check what units factions have available by aranging a single battle. Those won't show some regional available units however.

If you want to learn about the units themselves you can check the excel document in the Total war file. You can see if the stats were changed for old units and what stats new units have.
