    Default moddeling woes

    Im sure this has been probably asked before
    but im having trouble finding it
    my units are getting both the jesus-syndrom and different joints are vanishing at different positions
    im using milkshap 1.8.1
    Im positive i dont have any unassigned joints...

    He gives these three causes in the FAQ section:

    (1) One or more of your groups have no comments.

    (2) All vertices assigned to one bone. Check the
    "draw vertices with bone colors" check box on the joints tab
    to see your assignments.

    (3) Unassigned vertices. Click the "select unassigned" button
    on the joints tab to see any vertices that aren't assigned.

    Since you're sure about your assignments, check the group comments.

    checked all three of those things
    still problem
    im getting both the jesus syndrom and invisible sections

    is there anyway a problem in the battle_models files can create that....?

    I can't say that it is impossible, but usually any mistake
    in the modeldb file is a guarenteed crash on loading, unfortunately
    without any useful info in the system logs.

    Noncrash things are the "silver men" syndrome, meaning the game
    can't find textures. But from your pics that doesn't seem to be it.

    Sorry, exhausted my arsenal for this one.

    good news - my models now show up
    stupid me forgot the
    [io]
    file_first = True in the .cfg file
    now bad news - my game crashes as soon as i hit begin deployment




    it doesnt matter what unit or anything
    game crashes now no matter what mod i use

    i think im going to have to reinstall the whole thing

    even after a fresh install it doesnt work
    even in vanilla with no mods or anything
    it seems my game is broken or something
    :-(
