Perhaps the validator checks for EB installation folder as found in the registry (just a guess) ?Originally Posted by Intranetusa
I am using Vista x64. I installed RTW on my second HDD. During installation I only substituted the drive drive letter C with D. RTW now resides in "D:\Program Files (x86)\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War". Before installing EB I copied the contents of this folder (and the subfolders) to "D:\Program Files (x86)\The Creative Assembly\EBV1". Then I installed EB to this folder. Everything is working as it should, so I never had to troubleshoot my installation.
I am using an administrator account and I have disabled UAC. Therefore I do not have any access privilege problems, that seem to be the cause for the Vista problems others have.
Nope. It could do that, but I couldn't be buggered to program it that way. It should be run from the RTW directory, which should contain the vanilla files and the EB folder.Originally Posted by Theages

I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.
