Default A Great loss for global Orthodox Christianity...

    http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/eu...los/index.html

After a 7 month battle with cancer Archbishop of Athens and whole Hellas succumbed...
A great leader and a true priest...
He was maybe the only spiritual leader that opened the church to young people saying:
Come as you are with long hair and earrings (for boys)....and short skirts for girls...
    God rest your soul...

Impunity is an open wound in the human soul.

The best choose one thing in exchange for all, everflowing fame among mortals; but the majority are satisfied with just feasting like beasts.

It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England cannot enter – all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement! - William Pitt the Elder

May he have eternal rest, and may his efforts on behalf of your church and people continue to bless lives for many years to come.

R.I.P. Especially kudos to him for trying to heal the rift between Orthodoxes and Catholics.

    To a fine leader. Farewell.
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.

Cool Re: A Great loss for global Orthodox Christianity...

Well that is the head of the Mormon's and the Orthodox... a couple of more heads of various church's in a short span and I might have to read up my revelations...
Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.
