Thread: AI in Battles

    Default AI in Battles

Greetings - I have been away for a long time as we moved from Japan back to Germany AND got a daughter at the same time. Now things are getting back to normal and I might even get a new PC.
I have played the TW games since their inception. I was most pleased with the "battle experience" in MTW1.
Rome TW was far too easy in that respect.

Now my question: Has the AI improved again and battles are again more dificult to win than in Rome? Or shouldn´t I bother and have a game of Shogun TW again? There the AI gave me the odd pleaseantly nasty surprise - all those years ago.

Alternatively: Is there a mod out there that improves on the "battle AI".

Thanks a lot for your help,
    TokkahnKhan

There is no "I" only an "A" ... do not bother with the vanilla version, quickly upgrade to some of the mods. If you want to play Europe I would strongly suggest the Pro Deo et Rege mod:

mod AIs are still not perfect (there are limits what modders can do) but much better than the vanilla "A".
