Default How many here find their moods improved whe they listen to music?

A silly question, perhaps, but I've been surprised to find lately what a difference it makes.

I kind of stopped listening to music on my discman the past few years, since long commutes to my university made it easy to do it then. However, since graduating I haven't done much of either, and have been too poor for concerts. Then, tonight, I popped in a a cd, and I was a bit surprised by the effect it had.

Anyone else find that music quite changes their mood?

If it is indeed music, yes. Though usually I listen to what suit my mood, that makes more sense..

Good music changes the mood to the better... but some music changes it to the worse (R&B for example)...

Good music arent meant always be 'in good mood', I agree that some can change it to the worse with its BS quality :D

Listening to Floyd reminds me of why I was born and that, yes, there is beauty in life.

    It always improves my mood.

I only tend to do that when I've had too much to drink...much like when I made this thread.

Syd Barret era, Waters-led era, or post-Waters era Pink Floyd?

Classic rock gets me through the frustration of traffic when it moves slow. The roof of my car is my left hand's drum so long as it's not raining. Led Zepplin is alright for when I'm doing homework (except long bits of reading when classical music is needed to drown out ambient noise) and metal/hard rock gets me pumped for when I go running.

Four stage strategy from Yes, Minister:
Stage one we say nothing is going to happen.
Stage two, we say something may be about to happen, but we should do nothing about it.
Stage three, we say that maybe we should do something about it, but there's nothing we can do.
Stage four, we say maybe there was something we could have done, but it's too late now.
