I never managed to move the starting characters, even with their real names, with the move_character command. In 0.8 it worked, in 1.0 not. Maybe I don't read the names correctly?

What I did was changing the starting positions of the characters in the descr_strat file. It's simple enough. Just don't forget to backup the file.

Actually in my current Aedui campain I am resting and building up my econ. Then I'll build like 6 full stacks and do a re-conquest/settlement of Galatia. I also plan to sack Alexandria, AS's capital, kill Pontus. Then I'll and sack Hydastan, and MAYBE I'll hit Backtria.

Sounds like a great idea. I'll try it out, myself. Although, there is one thing that troubles me. If I migrate my entire faction (Aedui) to Galatia, won't I lose my ability to create homeland troops? I would prefer to have homeland Botroas swordsmen and Laosatae slingers in my army, as well as a few Galatian mercs. The celtic swordsmen look as if they could pass off as "pure" Galatians (blondish hair and all). I say this because I would also rather have some variety to my troop selections since there are only 3 "pure" Galatian units. I guess my real question is, is there ANY way I can keep my homeland Aedui soldiers if I migrate my entire faction to Galatia?

Botroas, celtic slingers, archers and cavalery even Gaesatae or their Galatian version. As for the Aedui have Galatia is a Expansion teritory ( so you get a gov 2 there) I wonder why the Arveni dont have Galatia as their Expansion, it would really make it more interesting in Asia minor if Ankyra rebeled to them.
