Default How can you turn off the plague function?

How can you turn off the plague function? I get really annoyed when I've got only one huge city pumping out troops for the Roman menace at my border, then suddenly,BOOM,that one city breaks out in plague! Also,is it possible to disable the scripted "Plague in Macedonia" event?

I think you need to ";" plague entries in descr_disasters.txt (base folder) (but not 100% sure) and delete this part
    Code:
    event	plague plague_in_italy
    date	144 summer
    position	96, 82
    position	95, 71
    position	102, 68
    position	114, 63
from descr_events in campaign folder for any plague...

Okay, thanks. I'll wait until I get a few more responses before I go in messing with my game files again, though. I already had to reinstall the game once because I messed up in Barbarian's descr_strat file.

Just copy all files in Data, + 'world', 'text', and other folders with what you will work in backup directory and copy back vanilla files if you messed it...

I deleted position numbers and the date, but didn't ";" anything. I wasn't sure where to put it.
Do I delete everything (including the word 'position') in bold? And could you specify where to put the ";" symbol? I started a Macedonia campaign to see if it worked, and the "Plague in Macedonia" didn't appear, but when I played some of an Iberia / Spain campaign that I'd started prior to the changes, the plague popped up in its usual 256 timeline location. Did I do it right and just need to start new campaigns for the changes to take place?

The game plays just fine (unlike my BI mistake which stopped it from playing all together) and everything,I'm just not sure that I did everything 100% right.

better to ';' lines with positions for all setupped plagues in d_events (without deleting date line, that will leave plague event, but it wouldnt have any effects just notification)

';' places in the beginning of the code line, meaning it wont be used (just a way to disable code without deleting it, so can go back quickly)

    Code:
    event	plague plague_in_italy
    date	144 summer
    ;position	96, 82
    ;position	95, 71
    ;position	102, 68
    ;position	114, 63
    like this.
d_disasters should remove random plagues i think..

new campaign should be necessary in that case as old descr_events used (but i'm not expert in when you need it or not).

    Ah,okay. Thanks.

Edit: I've started a Macedonia campaign to test the changes out. The "Plague in Macedonia" event card came up in its usual place (256 BC),but... no plague in Macedonia! Thanks again,Charge.
